Job summary

Network Connex is seeking an HDD Operator to run horizontal directional drilling equipment for underground telecom and utility installs. You will ensure safe, efficient drilling, monitor bore progress, and work with the Locator and field crew to meet schedules.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of drilling rig experience, familiarity with HDD tooling, and a strong safety mindset. Travel to job sites and outdoor work are required; OSHA-10/30 and valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with HDD operations and ability to interpret bore plans.
• Knowledge of drilling fluids and bore planning processes.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA-compliant practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate Ditch Witch AT40, perform pilot bores, pullbacks and reaming safely.
• Monitor drill head pressure, mud flow, and machine performance.
• Maintain bore logs and daily production records; report progress to Foreman.
