Job summary

B.H. Inc. is seeking a high‑level Horizontal Directional Drill Operator for our western U.S. operations. This role leads on-site drilling projects, directing quality and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Earn $32.00–$42.00 per hour, with a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, sign-on bonus, per diem for travel, and comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental, life insurance and 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dedicated HDD Operator experience
• Valid Class A CDL required
• Expert proficiency with Falcon F5 and Ditch Witch controls
• Ability to travel roughly 90% of the time (4–6 week stints)
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Operate Ditch Witch rigs (JT25, AT60, JT60) and guide drill bits using the Falcon F5
• Perform pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Lead utility potholing and manage tooling changes for various ground conditions
• Maintain a proactive, positive, and professional attitude toward site safety

About The Role

As an HDD Operator at B.H. Inc., you are a critical leader on our project sites, directing quality and ensuring compliance. You will work directly with the HDD Foreman to execute large-scale utility projects (pipe sizes 6" to 24").
