Taylor’s Construction is actively seeking a skilled Drill / HDD Operator to support horizontal directional drilling and related operations for telecommunications and utility projects. The role is field-based, requiring safe operation of HDD rigs to install underground conduit, utilities, and fiber infrastructure across multiple sites.

This position emphasizes execution, safety, and quality on the jobsite, with collaboration among project supervisors and field crews to ensure schedules are met

Qualifications

• Experience operating HDD rigs or heavy drilling equipment.
• Ability to read drill plans and ensure alignment.
• Knowledge of drilling fluids, pump operations, and maintenance.
• Commitment to safety policies and site regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD rigs to install underground conduit and fiber.
• Set up and maintain drilling equipment; perform inspections.
• Follow project plans and ensure bore path accuracy.
• Record logs and field documentation daily.
• Support site cleanup and material staging.
