Bauer Built in Sioux City, IA is seeking a skilled Mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including air and hydraulic brake systems, steering, suspension, wheel seals, and related components. The role involves performing vehicle alignments and servicing on-site as assigned.

You will operate a mobile mechanic truck, use lifts and diagnostic tools, follow safety regulations, and help build trust with customers through high-quality, timely repairs.

Mechanic – Sioux City, IA

Starting at $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience!

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues including air and hydraulic brake systems, steering and suspension components, wheel seals, and related systems.
• Perform vehicle alignments as assigned.
• Build customer trust and increase repeat business by delivering high-quality, timely repairs and honoring service commitments.
• Operate a mobile mechanic truck and perform on‑site mechanical services as assigned.
• Safely operate and maintain shop service equipment, including lifts and diagnostic tools.
• Follow all company and industry safety regulations when performing repairs and inspections.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain diagnosed issues.
• Ability to perform mechanical services on Class4–8 heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Ability to recognize and diagnose early signs of wear that could lead to more significant mechanical issues.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to independently perform mobile mechanic duties as assigned.
