Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority seeks an Occupancy Specialist to manage Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) admissions, reexaminations, and voucher processing.

You will ensure HUD guidelines, verify income data, and coordinate with landlords and PHAs to execute HAP contracts and leases, including port-in/out moves.

Candidates should be proficient with housing software and HUD reporting tools, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Knowledge of HUD HCV regulations and Fair Housing requirements.
• Experience with housing management software and HUD reporting tools.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with diverse populations.
• Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Process applications and verify eligibility for prospective participants.
• Schedule and conduct annual/interim reexaminations and intake briefings.
• Determine utilities, deductions, and rent shares, and calculate HAP payments.
• Process RTAs, verify Rent Reasonableness, issue vouchers and coordinate HAP contracts.
• Coordinate port-in/port-out moves with PHAs and HUD form processing.
• Enter participant data into agency software and submit HUD-50058 data to EIV/PIC.
• Prepare and process HAP contracts, leases, and rent increases.
