Job summary

Lakeview Terrace Retirement Community in Altoona, FL is seeking a part-time HCC Housekeeper/Laundry to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents. The role includes cleaning resident rooms, offices and public areas, plus handling laundry with infection-control procedures.

You will follow a formal training program and adhere to safety standards while providing reliable support to residents and staff. This position offers part-time hours and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Purpose:

Maintain a sanitary and aesthetically clean environment, adhering to state codes, to include resident rooms, baths, office and public areas.

• Follow the established formal training program, as scheduled for windows and mirrors, glass and solid doors, walls and metal finishes.
• Sanitary maintenance of sinks and bathing facilities. Keep supplies to required levels.
• Laundry-follow proven methods maintaining infection control, appearance and usefulness of the item.
• Attention to quantity and quality of items distributed. Monitor resident laundry-name and appearance of item.
• Maintain safety in work and living areas through proper maintenance of facility and adhering to safety standards for work and resident situations.

Qualification:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• For purposes of effective communication with residents, families and staff must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
• Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 50 lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.

Hourly Rate:

$15.00 - $19.50

A criminal history background check and sex offender registry check will be required for the finalist under consideration for this position. We are a drug free workplace.
