Job summary

Almost Family is seeking a Director of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) for California, in San Diego, to oversee SLS, ILS, respite, and SDP services. This leadership role reports to the Executive Director and drives census growth, regulatory compliance, and financial performance across the region.

The position requires CA I/DD services expertise, budget management, and strong partnerships with regional centers.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in California I/DD services (SLS/ILS).
• Three+ years of management experience overseeing programs and supervising staff.
• Proven success growing census or revenue through regional center relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of Regional Center system, Title 17, Lanterman Act, IPP process, HCBS regulations.
• Experience with program budgeting and using data to drive decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, business, or related field.
• Ability to obtain DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual growth plan for California HCBS (census, revenue, new services).
• Lead relationship development with San Diego Regional Center leadership and providers.
• Oversee vendorizations and service code expansions; expand to additional regional centers.
• Oversee referral intake, budgeting, and utilization; ensure regulatory compliance.
