Job summary

Howard Building Corporation seeks an experienced HCAI Superintendent for active healthcare construction in Costa Mesa, CA. You will lead on-site operations, ensure infection control, safety, and uninterrupted facility activities while coordinating with hospital staff and regulators.

Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, ensuring MOPs, coordinating with MEP systems, documenting progress, and maintaining compliance with California safety standards throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as a HCAI Superintendent or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
• Knowledge of healthcare infection control and hospital operations.
• Familiar with MOPs, TIO process, and regulatory documentation.
• Experience coordinating with regulators and inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Post notices and conduct safety meetings per CAL-OSHA rules.
• Coordinate subcontractors and client vendors on site.
• Interpret plans and coordinate layout with teams.
• Manage on-site inspections by authorities having jurisdiction.
• Maintain detailed daily logs of manpower, changes, and delays.
• Ensure proper PPE use and adherence to SOPs and codes.
• Communicate project needs to managers and support staff.
• Oversee inspections and ensure document accuracy (shop drawings).
• Lead weekly foremen meetings and client meetings.
