Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is seeking compassionate caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in the Watsonville area. We provide PPE and onboarding to help you succeed within our team, part of a global home care company with over 25 years of experience. Shifts include day and night, every day of the week.

Pay range is $18.00–$22.00 per hour. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid training, bonuses for referrals, and travel time with mileage

Qualifications

• English reading, writing, speaking required.
• 1 year caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring/moving clients around their home.
• No more than 20% housekeeping tasks (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Provide dementia care and companionship activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (Family members or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Payrate: $18.00 - $22.00

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20% performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)?
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
