Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is hiring caregivers, CNAs and HHAs to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and adults with disabilities across Watsonville and surrounding areas in California.

You will perform personal care activities, assist with activities of daily living, mobility, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, and companionship. We equip you with PPE, provide paid training, and support through onboarding; weekly pay and mileage reimbursement are included.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (Family members or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20% performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
