Micron Technology, Inc. in Richardson, Texas, is seeking an HBM Memory Design Engineer – Sustaining (Staff) to drive silicon issue resolution and sustain product lifecycles with cross-functional teams across DE, PSE, TD, and system groups.

The role emphasizes AI-driven technical execution, design verification, and ongoing updates to meet high-performance memory demands for AI/ML and HPC applications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of DRAM/HBM architecture and high-speed memory interfaces.
• Experience in digital and/or custom design and verification.
• Hands-on silicon debug or post-silicon validation experience.
• Ability to independently drive complex technical issues to closure.
• Proficiency in AI tools for improving design quality and efficiency.
• Python or scripting skills for debug automation.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• HBM design & architecture: collaborate with architecture team on new design.
• Sustaining activities: own product through lifecycle, ECOs and issues, root-cause analysis.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Architect, DE, PSE, TD, and system teams.
• Identify and debug yield, reliability, and performance issues to improve quality.
• Support customer bring-up, qualification, and system-level debug.
• Contribute sustaining learnings to improve design quality and verification methodologies.
