Job summary

TAS Environmental Services in Texas is seeking a HAZWOPER Technician / Class A CDL Driver to perform environmental cleanup, spill response, and industrial services at field locations. You will operate and maintain equipment, travel to job sites, and comply with DOT and TAS safety rules.

Position involves physical outdoor work, after-hours responses, and travel to various sites. Hazmat/Tanker endorsements and HAZWOPER training are required or preferred, with ongoing safety training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat Endorsement required.
• Tanker Endorsement required.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred; must obtain and maintain required HAZWOPER training.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on environmental services, industrial cleaning, emergency response, spill cleanup, and biohazard cleanup activities.
• Handle, stage, profile, process, load, and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste per TAS procedures.
• Assist with removal of soil, debris, liquids, waste at spill sites and facilities.
• Operate and maintain field service equipment and PPE.
• Support tank cleaning, confined-space work, equipment cleaning and other field activities.
• Respond to emergency calls, after-hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
• Safely operate Class A vehicles and transport crews, equipment, waste, and materials.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports.
• Follow DOT hours-of-service, routing, load securement, and TAS safety procedures.
• Maintain driver logs, manifests, documentation, and job paperwork.
