Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Training Center Manager in Texas to establish and lead our onboarding and workforce training function. You will own governance, training strategy, and readiness, ensuring associates are prepared for live operations with quality standards.

The role combines hands-on delivery during startup with strategic leadership as the operation scales. Responsibility includes building governance, maintaining documentation, coordinating with People Partners and Operations, and driving

Qualifications

• Experience leading training programs and governance for a site or network.
• Proven ability to establish onboarding and workforce readiness processes.
• Skilled in documenting, updating, and governing procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own site training strategy, governance, quality standards, and execution.
• Establish a training function that supports operational readiness and business objectives.
• Identify training needs and readiness risks with Operations leaders.
• Maintain skill matrices showing workforce capabilities and cross-training needs.
• Govern department certifications in partnership with Operations.
• Ensure required training is completed before associates perform operational work.
• Monitor training effectiveness and adjust delivery strategies.
• Oversee onboarding governance and ensure policy awareness and documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure onboarding requirements are met on time.
• Lead training for Operations leaders and deliver hands-on sessions when needed.
• Ensure training materials align with SOPs and current practices.
• Manage Training Center operations, schedules, and equipment.
• Drive trainer development and succession planning.
