Job summary

HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors in Garyville, LA is seeking an Environmental Technician III to join our safety‑minded team. This role focuses on hazardous waste clean‑up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials in field operations.

Responsibilities include following health and safety policies, performing physical labor, operating equipment, wearing PPE, and completing necessary paperwork.

• Emergency response on-call requirement; may include weekends/holidays; extended hours up to 12–24 hrs
• Previous relevant labor experience
• Perform physical functions per job requirements

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and powered tools
• Wear and properly use PPE including respirators and protective gear
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions
• Handle hazardous materials and conduct waste sampling as needed
• Complete paperwork such as worksheets, inspections, and permits
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and DOT requirements
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating schedule
• May participate in site remediation and equipment decontamination
