Job summary

xpress Employment Professionals of Long Beach is seeking a Shipping Clerk in Wilmington, CA. This full-time, temp-to-hire role offers growth opportunities, with a shift Mon-Fri 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and a rate up to $22–$24 per hour.

Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, hazmat handling, and SAP-related tasks, plus reporting and safety compliance. Requires DOT training, hazmat certification, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Requires US DOT & Initial 49CFR/IATA Dangerous Goods training
• Minimum 2 years’ clerical experience in shipping/receiving
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with hazmat shipments
• Proficient with MS Office Applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current forklift certification
• Ability to prioritize activities and workload to meet daily requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of shipping per the Shipping Work Instructions.
• Perform all aspects of receiving per the Receiving Work Instructions.
• Handle hazmat shipments and manage hazmat waste disposal processes.
• Assist in shipping parcel and freight shipments.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; participate in safety initiatives.
• Prepare batch tickets and labels for production orders and finished goods.
• Produce accurate reports and documents; exercise sound judgment.
• Supervise Shipping Clerk and support SAP data entry where needed.
