Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a delivery driver for Springfield, IL. You will deliver products to customers, making 10-12 stops per day, handling freight, completing paperwork, and delivering excellent service. You will count deliveries and pickups, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and identify maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; proficient in reading and writing in English.
• Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification; valid Class BCDL.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Hazmat endorsement on CDL or obtain within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in past 2 years.
• No alcohol-related convictions within last 10 years.
• Able to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate.
• Able to push, pull, move, and lift at least 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers, making 10–12 stops per day, handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent service.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify needs for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives.
• Continuously learn how Linde operates to help the business grow.
