Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC seeks a Hazmat Logistician to manage hazardous materials, inventory and compliance. Secret clearance is required and you will support Navy operations with ELMS, NAVSUP tools and HMIRS.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper disposal, conducting inspections, and providing customer service for HAZMAT activities, including SDS gathering and documentation for procurement.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years warehousing and inventory management experience within the DoD.
• Forklift license up to 10,000 lb capacity.
• Must complete HAZMAT training and ECATTS.
• Experience with ELMS, NAVSUP HMM Tool, NAVSUP OneTouch, HMIRS.
• Familiarity with DoD SHELF-LIFE Program and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory control, sustainment, replenishment and issue of HAZMAT items.
• Ensure proper ordering, receipting and compliance with environmental laws and naval regulations.
• Provide customer service for the HAZMAT program, fulfill requests, store and ensure compatibility.
• Gather Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in support of HAZMAT program.
• Maintain HAZMAT spaces to Navy standards; support LMA/LMI inspections.
• Accurately enter and manage HAZMAT in ELMS to enable inventory control.
• Oversee disposal of hazardous material and waste per guidelines.

• Ensures all hazardous materials are properly ordered, issued, receipted, and managed in strict compliance with applicable environmental laws, DoD instructions, and naval regulations.
• Provide customer service support for the HAZMAT program to include activities such as fulfilling customer requests, stowage and compatibility considerations, provide necessary documentation to support procurement, and all disposal/disposition of HAZMAT activities.
• Research and gathers all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in support of HAZMAT program.
• Maintain and inspect all HAZMAT spaces and keep them within Navy standards for inspections. Delivers comprehensive logistics support during Group and Echelon-level Logistics Management Assessments and Inspections (LMA/LMI).

• Complete and maintain HAZMAT required training through Environmental Compliance Assessment, Training and Tracking System (ECATTS).
• Minimum five years' warehousing and inventory management experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Minimum one year experience with the following systems: Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), NAVSUP HMM Tool, NAVSUP OneTouch, Hazardous Materials information Resource System (HMIRS), Department of Defense SHELF-LIFE Program.
• Minimum one year experience in ELMS, or equivalent database.
• Must meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for use in their official duties.
