Job summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a highly skilled HAZMAT Chemical and Gas Professional to lead safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials and gases in our semiconductor manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of DOT HAZMAT, FTZ regulations, and strong vendor management with KPI development, ensuring compliance with international fire/building codes and driving safety initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of hazardous materials management in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
- Experience with DOT HAZMAT, FTZ, and IFC/building codes is preferred.
- Strong vendor management and KPI development experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply SCM principles and KPI concepts to establish operational metrics.
- Support raw material and hazardous materials management per DOT, EH&S, SOP.
- Oversee daily logistics operations and provide SME for material processes.
- Use SAP/ERP for materials planning, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate raw material shipments to maintain target inventory and support fab operations.
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve processes within timelines.
