Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste in the Atlanta area using Class B trucks. You will handle roll-offs, tankers, and various trailers, conducting pickups and ensuring DOT compliance.

The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional overnight shifts. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) match, and PTO; weekends are typically off except for critical needs.

Qualifications

• Class B commercial driver’s license with HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations for hazardous waste collection, packaging, labeling and transport.
• Proven safety-focused driving record and ability to operate various truck/trailer configurations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractors.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifests; maintain trip reports and driver documents.
• Ensure compliance with DOT HazMat regulations and weight limits.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; maintain clear placarding and load segregation.
