Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a HazMat Handler for the 1st shift. You will ensure safe, compliant handling and shipping of dangerous goods and regulated materials, including documentation, labeling, stacking, and storage.

The role requires knowledge of DG/HazMat regulations, 2+ years in warehousing or logistics, and a willingness to train others. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and operating in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required plus 2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Hazmat/Dangerous Goods certification preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT, IATA, IMDG regulations and labeling/packing rules.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verify, prepare, and process documentation for DG/HazMat shipments per DOT, IATA, IMDG.
• Inspect, label, package, and segregate dangerous goods per safety standards.
• Store hazardous materials and perform routine inspections.
• Respond to spills/leaks, implement cleanup plans, and wear PPE.
• Conduct audits on dangerous goods before packaging and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and train team members on handling procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
