Job summary

Clean Harbors in High Point, NC is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers and roll offs, with driving and non-driving duties for hazardous waste cleanup.

Responsibilities include safe truck operation, loading/unloading, daily logs, and compliance with DOT rules. Travel to sites and on-call emergency response are part of the role, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to use various mobile devices and comply with DOT rules.
• Able to pass background check, drug test, and physical.
• Per OSHA respirator standards, facial hair rules apply where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
• Load and unload trucks and perform manual labor on site.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Ensure safety first and comply with all safety policies and regulations.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Handle site remediation and hazardous materials as required.
