Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Jennings, LA is seeking a Local Delivery Driver (Class B w/Hazmat) to safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders for local customers. You will build relationships with customers while representing Airgas professionally.

You will operate from a branch using company trucks, maintain accurate delivery records, and uphold safety standards across regulatory agencies. Some warehouse duties and overtime may occur while enjoying Airgas benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid LA Class A or B CDL.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
• No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• 1 year of CDL driving in the last 5 years or trucking school within 12 months.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read MSDS.
• Able to lift 25–75 lbs and up to 125 lbs with assistance.
• Able to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours; frequent bending.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Ability to obtain safety credentials for access to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, and unload cylinders safely.
• Record deliveries and pickups with signatures.
• Comply with SAFECOR and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
• Assist in warehouse or dock as needed.
