Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Monroe, LA. The role delivers compressed and liquid gas cylinders on an established route, loads and unloads, and handles customer interactions with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position requires a Class B CDL (Hazmat preferred or can obtain Hazmat), a minimum of one year driving experience, and a willingness to work a Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekends. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience verifiable under DOT requirements in the past 5 years.
• Endorsements: Class A or B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement or able to obtain Hazmat upon contingency of offer.
• Clean Record: A clean MVR and at least 21 years of age.
• Physical: Ability to lift 25–75 lbs and up to 125+lbs with assistance; long periods of bending, walking, standing and driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes.
• Collect empty cylinders from customers and record transactions with signatures; address inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
• Load/unload, perform pre/post-trip checks, and maintain safety and vehicle condition.
