Job summary

Clean Harbors in Columbus, OH is seeking a Class B CDL Equipment Operator to drive light and heavy-duty trucks at customer sites and support hazardous waste clean-up projects. You will operate a range of vehicles, perform loading/unloading, and follow strict safety and DOT rules.

Training includes a two-week academy out of state, with expenses paid by the company. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, potential overtime beyond 40 hours, and opportunities for growth, comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Valid Class B CDL is required.
Hazmat and Tanker endorsement must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Ability to use various mobile devices.
Perform physical functions as required by the job.
Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and medical exam as applicable.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
Drive a variety of Class B trucks and equipment.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
Ensure safety and compliance with DOT and company policies.
Be available for emergency response or project work, potentially out of town for up to two weeks.
Observe all environmental, health and safety guidelines and training requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
