Job summary

Clean Harbors in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to run a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, handling hazardous clean-up tasks. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6 am start, 8–10+ hour days with overtime after 40 hours.

New hires attend a two-week Academy training out of state, paid by the company. Opportunity to participate in emergency response projects and to grow within a national environmental services

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.
• Ability to use various mobile devices on the job.
• Must be able to perform physical labor per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and medical exam as required.
• Facial hair standards per respirator policy.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Drive a variety of Class A trucks and load/unload cargo.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations.
• Be available for emergency response and possible out-of-town work.
• Perform site work including remediation and handling of hazardous materials.
