Job summary

Clean Harbors in Cleveland is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, performing driving and non-driving duties for hazardous waste cleanup.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment or as position requires.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Able to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Background check, drug test, and physical as required by position.
• Must meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Drive a variety of Class A trucks; load and unload as needed.
• Perform on-site manual labor to meet customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Comply with local, state/provincial and federal regulations.
• Observe corporate safety guidelines and environmental health procedures.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination and hazardous materials as required.
