Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a safety‑driven hazardous materials driver responsible for transporting waste and materials from customer sites to designated facilities, using van trailers, tankers, or roll‑offs. You will verify packaging, manifests, and permits to comply with DOT, EPA, and state regulations.

This role requires a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, high school diploma or GED, and prior commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement required.
• Prior commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of vehicle/trailer before driving.
• Review shipment records, manifests, labeling and permits prior to transport.
• Ensure DOT requirements (load weight, logs, permits) are up-to-date.
• Coordinate with customers on load conditions and paperwork.
• Notify supervisor of incidents or violations en route.
• Assist with loading/unloading at designated sites.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
