Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a CDL-certified driver at our Newark, NJ location. The role focuses on safe delivery, unloading cylinders, and maintaining accurate records while meeting DOT and hazmat requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Two years driving experience or truck driver training.
• No preventable accidents or violations in past two years.
• DOT medical certificate or ability to pass DOT physical.
• Valid CDL Class A or B required.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• 2+ years in plant/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide a high standard of customer service while delivering and unloading cylinders.
• Drive about 30% of the day; rest of the day for delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders and inspections.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of delivered and picked up product.
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping papers per DOT/TC regulations.
• Placard vehicle according to hazmat regulations and Linde standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify needs for vehicle repairs and ensure timely maintenance.
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders per plant guidelines.
• Perform visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling.
• Check cylinder quantities, styles and product; fill as needed.
• Load and unload product from weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate forklift and other plant vehicles.
