Summary

CHS is looking for a Truck Driver to join our team in Mankato, MN. This role will be responsible for transporting crude soy from one of our processing plants to another for further processing. The schedule for this role will be overnights starting around 4:30pm, Wednesday through Sunday.

Sign on Bonus

This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $1,500 will be paid after 30 days, and an additional $1,500 after one year in the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
• Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
• Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 2+ years of Class A Driving experience.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals.

Additional Qualifications

• Must meet DOT and Company requirements.
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands.
• Bulk liquid experience preferred.
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSAClearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel.

Compensation and Benefits

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending on the position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
