Job summary

Clean Harbors in Seymour CT is seeking a Class A CDL Driver (Hazmat) to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks at customer sites; some vehicles include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role performs driving and non-driving duties on and off sites for hazardous waste cleanup.

Health and safety are top priorities, and the role requires obtaining Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to be obtained within 90 days.
• Ability to use mobile devices and perform physical tasks.
• Successful background check, drug test and medical as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks at customer sites and assist field laborers.
• Load/unload trucks and perform on-site manual tasks.
• Ensure proper placarding and comply with DOT requirements.
• Maintain logs, timesheets and reports; observe safety guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis if assigned.
• Hazmat handling and site remediation as required.
