Job summary

LabTest Certification Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join the HazLoc team in Las Vegas. This on-site role supports testing, evaluation, and certification of HazLoc equipment, coordinating projects from review through documentation.

You will interact with clients and internal teams to ensure compliant outcomes. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree, 2+ years of related experience, and strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2+ years in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with HazLoc, explosion protection, or product certification an asset.
• Knowledge of UL/CSA/IEC/ANSI standards an asset.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HazLoc testing, evaluation, and certification projects.
• Review drawings and technical information to determine testing requirements.
• Develop test plans and supervise testing per standards.
• Prepare technical reports and certification documentation.
• Identify non-conformities and communicate findings to clients.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, manufacturers, and internal teams.
