Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Technician in Stockton, CA to ensure hazardous and non-hazardous materials are managed safely and in full regulatory compliance. You will receive, inspect, classify, and move materials, and respond to spills while maintaining documentation and product integrity.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other equipment, using PPE appropriately, and ensuring paperwork accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in hazardous waste industry.
• 40 hour Hazwoper training.
• DOT and RCRA training.
• Forklift certification.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to perform strenuous physical labor.
• Able to wear respirator and protective clothing.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, background screening, and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and drum carts for the movement of materials.
• Select and use the appropriate PPE for specific materials and tasks, and ensure all PPE is properly maintained.
• Inspect labels, manifests, and other required paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state laws.
• Report any quality anomalies or compliance deviations to the supervisor immediately and assist with incident investigations.
• Assist with general housekeeping, facility cleanliness, and the upkeep of all safety equipment.
• Attend all required safety and compliance training sessions and maintain necessary certifications.
