Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician to provide specialized transportation and disposal services in a safety-focused team environment. Responsibilities include sampling waste streams, manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading, coordinating transportation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

This role requires a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazardous (H) endorsement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to policies.
• Manifest, package, spill cleanup and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and offering solutions.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental procedures per Veolia policies.
• Become familiar with DOT/EPA and Veolia policies relevant to waste disposal paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
