Job summary

Veolia NA is seeking a qualified transportation and disposal professional to service clients with waste streams—manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling and coordinating transportation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a 40-hour HAZWOPER, valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazardous endorsement; chemistry background preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License; ability to obtain Class A/B CDL with Hazardous endorsement.
• Ability to follow through on assignments.
• Strong team and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
• Comply with all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
• Become familiar with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paperwork for disposal of hazardous waste.
• Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
