Job summary

Veolia is seeking a technician to provide specialized transportation and disposal services at our Aliso Viejo, CA site. Responsibilities include sampling, manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, and coordinating transportation while complying with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree in chemistry preferred, and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to policies.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill cleanup and labeling; coordinate transportation.
• Answer inquiries and suggest solutions to client problems.
• Comply with health, safety and procedures (VES-TS).
• Understand DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for disposal paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment for efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
