Job summary

Veolia seeks a specialized transportation and disposal technician in Aliso Viejo, CA. Responsibilities include sampling and profiling waste streams, manifesting, packaging, spill cleanup, labeling, and coordinating transportation while adhering to DOT/EPA and VES-TS policies.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, and 40-hour HAZWOPER certification; a Bachelor's in Chemistry is preferred. Prior hazardous waste experience is required. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Prior work experience in the hazardous waste industry required.

Responsibilities

• Sample and profile waste streams according to policies.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill cleanup and transport coordination.
• Assess disposal site capabilities prior to shipment.
• Maintain a professional image and assist clients with inquiries.
• Comply with DOT/EPA and VES-TS policies.
• Complete paperwork per regulatory requirements.
• Operate and maintain equipment for timely project completion.
• Other duties as assigned.
