Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Transportation Technician to provide specialized transportation and disposal services for clients, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordination of transportation, and sampling/profiling materials.

Required are a High School diploma or GED, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and a valid driver’s license, with a Class A/B CDL and HazMat endorsement

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams per policies and procedures.
• Manifest, package, spill clean-up, label, load/unload, and coordinate transportation.
• Maintain a professional image with clients by addressing inquiries and offering solutions.
• Comply with all safety, health, and procedures per VES-TS policies.
• Familiarize with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for submitting disposal paperwork.
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned.
