Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm, seeks a Hazardous Waste Technician for the second shift in Taylor, TX. You will work onsite under the Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor, ensuring safe handling of hazardous materials and adherence to all procedures.

The role requires OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training, Confined Space Entry, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training and Confined Space Entry & Rescue certification.
• Current driver’s license with clean driving record; reliable transportation.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must pass background checks, drug screen, and random testing.
• Able to lift 60 pounds, work overtime, and flexible hours.
• Role is safety-sensitive and involves handling hazardous chemicals and waste.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety procedures and regulations, including PPE use.
• Wear a Respirator / SCBA as required.
• Load materials into tankers following SOPs.
• Set up job site operations including containment and berms.
• Connect/disconnect hoses to tankers; inspect fittings and gaskets.
• Operate pumps to load/offload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Monitor transfers, stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
• Maintain housekeeping and professional representation of the company.
• Perform daily tasks as directed by Lead plus other duties as needed.
