Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Waste Technician for the Kenai/Cook Inlet area to support hazardous and solid waste management on a 1-year initial contract. The role involves waste handling, packaging, transport, and regulatory compliance in an operational field environment.

The position requires knowledge of RCRA regulations and field experience with waste management processes, inspections, and documentation. Safety gear and equipment operation are part of daily duties in Alaska conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations.
• Experience supporting hazardous and solid waste management in field operations.
• Experience with compliance processes and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Manage, transport, and package hazardous and solid waste across Kenai and Cook Inlet facilities.
• Inspect Satellite Accumulation Areas and Universal Accumulation Areas.
• Provide guidance to field personnel on waste management and environmental matters.
• Coordinate with operations, drilling, and projects teams to support proper waste disposal and environmental review.
• Support field environmental specialists with logging, processing, and packaging of waste.
• Assist during internal and external audits and inspections.
• Provide cover for field environmental specialists as needed.
• Support compliance-related environmental activities in the field.
• Assist with operational control development, task system updates, and procedure reviews.
• Maintain environmental records, files, programs, and regulatory signage.
