Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Hazardous Waste Specialist to implement and maintain regulatory requirements (RCRA, EPA, FDEP, DOT) for launch and recovery operations. You will work with engineers and technicians to ensure environmental objectives and legal compliance are met while supporting production schedules.

The role involves managing waste handling, labeling, storage, 90‑day inventory logs, inspections, and coordinating waste shipments with contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Be trained in the management of Hazardous Waste.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects related to hazardous waste compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance with regulations including EPA, RCRA, FDEP and DOT.
• Perform RCRA regulatory hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal tasks.
• Monitor and manage hazardous waste levels at satellite accumulation areas.
• Record and maintain 90-day hazardous waste inventory logs.
• Perform hazardous waste facility inspections and assist in waste shipments.
