Veolia North America in the United States is hiring for a Hazardous Waste Handler on a rotating shift. The role involves preparing hazardous waste for incineration, following a schedule of 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. for two weeks and 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m.

for the next two weeks, with every other weekend. The position pays $24.40/hr with a $2.00 shift differential, and requires outdoor work and a clean-shaven appearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate through reading and writing.
• Trained in the use of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes and stage materials for processing.
• Wear PPE and ensure environmental protection.
• Break down and extract waste materials from containers.
• Process materials and repackages into charge boxes; weigh charges.
• Record processed materials using electronic devices.
• Shrink-wrap charges and move to incinerator dock.
• Consolidate material from drums into roll-off containers.
• Dump waste hoppers and clean the area.
