Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a hands-on hazardous waste technician to perform routine waste handling tasks under supervision at our Greer facility. You will load/unload containers, operate basic tools, and ensure safe, compliant disposal of materials to designated facilities.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and 3–6 months of related experience; forklift proficiency and training in material handling are preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills are required.
• Trained in the use of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers).
• Operate tools and equipment as directed (impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers).
• Transport hazardous waste within the facility to processing sites.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to guidelines (RCRA).
• Assist in completing paperwork for processing materials and transportation between locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Assist in loading/unloading hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites.
