Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a warehouse technician to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, including movement of solids and liquids, under supervision. You will load, unload, and prepare waste containers for processing at sites, while upholding safety standards.

The role requires basic reading/writing communication and hands-on experience with material handling equipment. Training in HAZWOPER and related safety practices is valued to ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months experience in hazardous waste or chemical industry preferred.
• Proficiency with forklift and assorted hand/tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers (totes, drums, tankers) safely.
• Operate tools such as impact wrenches, shovels and jackhammers.
• Transport hazardous waste within the facility as directed.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums per RCRA guidelines.
• Complete paperwork for processing materials and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist in loading/unloading hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at sites.
