Job summary

Clean Harbors in Tualatin, OR is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

You will work in various environments, adhere to health and safety standards, and support on-call emergency response.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform duties described in key responsibilities.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to site locations.
• Willingness to be on-call; weekends/holidays and extended shifts may be required.
• Pass background check, drug test, and medical exam if required.
• Must meet OSHA respirator facial hair standards per policy.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all tasks.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and power tools.
• Wear PPE and comply with protective equipment standards.
• Perform field sampling and meter calibration.
• Load and unload waste safely and conduct waste stream profiling.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Comply with DOT and company guidelines and safety procedures.
