Job summary

EnviroServe, a Clean Harbors company, in Auburn, Maine, is seeking a Field Service Project Manager for our HAZMAT Emergency Response team. The role oversees large-scale projects at customer sites, coordinating with team members, supervisors, and the Branch Manager to ensure safe, compliant operations.

New hires attend a one-week training at our Academy out of state; expenses are covered by the company and the training is paid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of environmental field service operations experience or related.
• Strong environmental remediation background and experience.
• Emergency response supervisor training and/or Marine Spill Response training preferred.
• Strong understanding of equipment operations.
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulation.
• Cost estimating and computer experience.
• In-depth knowledge of remedial technologies.
• Previous experience working Emergency Response.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Manages and oversees small to large technically complex projects involving waste site clean-up and construction, building and equipment decontamination and demolition.
• Prepare proposals, including cost estimates and work scopes and schedules.
• Act as an agent of business and is involved with developing relationships with key customers and understanding the customer issues.
• Provide timely, concise and relevant information to superiors and subordinates.
• Provide technical support for proposal preparation, project cost estimates and subcontractor selection and procurement.
• Enforce the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety. Will be measured off the district’s health and safety record.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
