Job summary

Republic Services in Beatty, NV is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II-1 to safely operate a range of light and heavy equipment in a hazardous waste treatment facility. You will assist with off-loading, stabilize waste, run equipment, and help ensure compliant handling of materials.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of related experience and can pass the 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire. A valid driver’s license is preferred; comprehensive benefits and a team-oriented safety culture accompany

Qualifications

• 1 or more years related experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in off-loading trucks and unloading waste.
• Operates equipment to stabilize and handle waste.
• Processes treatment of materials and containers.
• Samples post-treated materials for testing by laboratory.
• Loads cleared post-treatment materials for shipment to landfill or disposal.
• Performs general preventative maintenance to equipment and general housekeeping.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
