Job summary

Republic Services in Beatty, NV is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II-1 to safely operate a range of light and heavy equipment in a hazardous waste treatment facility. You will assist with off-loading, stabilize waste, run equipment, and help ensure compliant handling of materials.

## Heavy Equipment Operator II-1Applylocations: Beatty, NV, USAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-180461**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Heavy Equipment Operator safely operates various light and heavy equipment in a hazardous waste treatment processing facility or landfill.**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Assists in off-loading trucks and unloading waste.* Operates equipment to stabilize and handle waste.* Processes treatment of materials and containers.* Samples post-treated materials for testing by laboratory.* Loads cleared post-treatment materials for shipment to landfill or disposal.* Performs general preventative maintenance to equipment and general housekeeping.* Performs other related duties as assigned.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation.* Ability to use hand and power tools applicable.* Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance, including (but not limited to): check tire pressure, check oil and water levels.* Demonstrates, accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.* Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.* A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** 1 or more years related experience.* Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.**Pay Range:**The pay range for this position is $21.90 to $30.07\* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions.
