Job summary

Radiation Pros, LLC seeks a Waste Management Specialist to sample, profile, oversee and document disposal for unique waste streams. The role requires detail-orientation and knowledge of hazardous and radioactive materials per state regulations, with travel to sites and office duties in Watkins, Colorado.

Responsibilities include coordinating sampling projects, managing waste profiles, and communicating with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Health Physics, Environmental Sciences, or a related field preferred but can be substituted for industry knowledge and training.
• RCRA, USDOT, and radioactive materials training and credentials highly preferred.
• Excellent typing and data management skills.
• 2 years’ experience in hazardous waste, lab analysis review, and profiling and manifesting waste.
• Obtain and maintain RCRA and DOT Hazmat Shipper and Class 7 certifications.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in NORM / TENORM management and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with the Director of Operations to assign and complete sampling work on all projects.
• Schedule and ensure execution on projects, communicating with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
• Update project calendars and organize schedules for meetings and field work.
• Manage inventory and order sampling supplies (bottles, PPE, etc.).
• Use ClickUp and internal software to project manage and update waste boards.
• Submit waste profiles via disposal vendor systems and external paperwork processes.
• Provide timely updates to clients on lab analysis, profiling, waste acceptance, permits, and transport.
• Assist with profiling waste into proper facilities under VP supervision.
• Obtain waste pricing from disposal facilities and support with project estimates.
• Prepare hazardous and radioactive waste manifests and advise field teams on labeling and placarding.
