Job summary

N3B LLCC is seeking a Nuclear Processing Operator to sort, segregate, and size reduce radioactive waste in a Los Alamos, NM facility. You will work with PPE and respiratory protection, following detailed procedures to ensure safety, security and quality in every task.

The role requires handling hazardous waste, documentation, and interaction with multiple teams to manage waste items' characterization and disposition, while maintaining compliance with DOE orders and site rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• DOE Order 426.2 familiarity or training preferred.
• Two years related experience for Level 2.
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane operator certifications.

Responsibilities

• Sort, segregate, and size reduce radioactive waste.
• Handle, package, treat, and document hazardous waste.
• Coordinate characterization, certification, and disposition of waste items.
• Maintain safety, security, and operational training; ensure regulatory compliance.
