Job summary

Amentum in the United States is seeking a FDSM B technician to operate, maintain, and repair hazardous propellant, cryogenic, and high‑pressure gas systems within Life Support, Cryogenics, or HSF facilities. You will work under supervision to resolve complex issues and ensure safe, compliant performance.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent with two years experience in the same or closely related work.
• A minimum of one year experience must be in the same type work.
• If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Possession of a Class A CDL, or ability to train and obtain a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Implements operation, maintenance and repair of hazardous propellants, cryogenic and high pressure gas storage and distribution systems.
• Performs life support operations, post-operations inspection and testing, and routine maintenance.
• Inspects and repairs SCBA life support equipment and related units from various manufacturers.
• Conducts installation and testing of low/high pressure distribution systems and pressure control panels.
• Transfers, stores and transports hazardous commodities and changes trailer service as needed.
• Participates in extensive safety training and adheres to safety procedures for hazardous environments.
• Operates tractor-trailer configurations, general purpose vehicles, and forklift equipment as required.
